Extracting highlighted text from Preview?

Postby CalumA » Feb 12, 2009, 06:38 PM

Is there anyway for Preview to extract (or just copy) all of the highlighted text in a PDF document? Or any other application that could do this?

You should be able to highlight what you want, right click (2 finger tap on a MacBook), then select copy. Then go where ever you want to paste it into and right click and paste.

Yeah; I can understand that much. But is there one button, or an add-on (or perhaps separate application), where it will extract all the highlighted text from one document?

I don't know if it will or not, but Skim is a great, free, open source program for dealing with PDFs. It might have that functionality in it. Just search for Skim Mac and I think you'll find it.
